A Steam & Extraction Facial begins with a cleanse to remove surface impurities and prepare the skin. Gentle steam is then used to warm and soften the skin, helping to make extractions more comfortable and effective.

Janine will carry out extractions carefully and only where appropriate, focusing on areas of congestion such as the nose, chin, forehead or other blocked areas. The aim is to clear build-up without overworking or irritating the skin.

This treatment can be particularly helpful for clients who experience blackheads, clogged pores or an oily T-zone. However, extractions are not always suitable for every skin type, especially if the skin is very sensitive, inflamed or experiencing active irritation. Janine will assess your skin before treatment and adapt the facial to suit what your skin needs on the day.

After the facial, the skin may look a little flushed, especially in areas where extractions have been carried out. This usually settles, and Janine will provide aftercare advice to help calm, protect and support the skin following your appointment.
